150 PALESTINIANS DIED UNDER TORTURE IN SYRIAN REGIME PRISONS
The number of Syrian-Palestinians who have died under torture in Syrian regime prisons since the start of the Syrian revolution in March 2011 has reached 150, according to the Action Group for Palestinians of Syria. Thousands more have died from shelling and starvation as regime forces continue to besiege many Palestinian areas in the country, especially the Yarmouk Palestinian Camp in Damascus.

COMMENT FROM THE EDITOR:
The Assad regime, supported by the ‘resistance fighters’ of Sepah Pasdaran and Hezbollah Lebanon, has killed more Palestinians in Syria than the Israeli apartheid regime did in occupied Palestine in 65 years. How ironic!

SYRIAN REGIME SEIZES ASSETS OF 58 DISSIDENT CELEBRITIES
A special Syrian court has issued an order to seize the assets of 58 Syrian public figures, including many popular actors and artists who have publicly supported the revolution in their country. Last month the Syrian government seized the assets of Syrian opposition delegates with whom it was negotiating in Geneva after adding the names to a ‘terrorist black list’.

COMMENT FROM THE EDITOR:
When Bashar al-Assad’s bombs prove insufficient to silence dissidents, his legal apparatus is mobilised to try to do that. Where are all the public condemnations and statements of solidarity with Syrian colleagues from artists and intellectuals around the world, including Iranian ones? Why are the world’s eyes so closed when it comes to Syria?
